1. Introduction
OvniVision ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is developed and maintained by UVCODEX LLC ("Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use OvniVision on your Apple iOS device.
By downloading or using OvniVision, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Summary
OvniVision is a privacy-first application. All data collected by the App remains exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to any external server, cloud service, or third party. The App has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no remote backend.
3. Information We Collect
OvniVision collects the following data solely to provide its core features. All data is stored locally on your device.
3.1 Camera and Video Data
- What: Video recordings captured through your device's camera.
- How: With your explicit permission, the App uses the device camera to record video (H.264 / MOV format).
- Where stored: Locally in your device's Application Support directory (
~/Library/Application Support/Videos/). - Why: To enable the core recording functionality of the App.
3.2 Microphone / Audio Data
- What: Audio captured during video recordings.
- How: With your explicit permission, the App records audio alongside video.
- Where stored: Embedded within the locally stored video files.
- Why: To create complete video recordings with audio.
3.3 Location Data
- What: GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude) and device compass heading sampled at approximately 15 frames per second during active recording sessions.
- How: With your explicit permission ("While Using the App"), the App captures GPS and compass heading data.
- Where stored: Locally in an embedded database on your device, associated with each recording.
- Why: To enable telemetry overlays, compass visualization, and map playback features.
- Precision: Best available accuracy.
3.4 Video Metadata
- What: Structured telemetry snapshots per recording, including: timestamp offsets, compass headings, GPS coordinates, and user-assigned classification tags (e.g., Airplane, UAV/Drone, Balloon, UFO/UAP, Bird, Satellite, Rocket, Unknown).
- Where stored: Locally in an embedded database on your device.
- Why: To support playback features such as synchronized compass display, map visualization, and object tracking overlays.
4. Information We Do NOT Collect
OvniVision does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number, username)
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, serial numbers)
- Usage analytics, behavioral data, or telemetry
- Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to any external service
- Advertising identifiers or interest profiles
- Payment or financial information
- Biometric data
- Contacts, photos library, or other app data
- IP address or network information
5. How We Use Information
All collected data is used exclusively for in-app functionality:

6. Data Storage and Retention
- All data is stored locally on your device using an embedded database and the app's sandboxed file system.
- No data is transmitted to external servers, cloud storage, or third-party services at any time.
- Data is retained until you delete a recording or uninstall the App.
- Deleting a recording removes both the video file and all associated metadata permanently. This action cannot be undone.
- Uninstalling the App removes all app data in accordance with iOS system behavior.
7. Third-Party Services
OvniVision uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud services. All data processing occurs on your device.
No analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, advertising networks, or cloud platforms are integrated into the App.
8. Permissions
OvniVision requests the following iOS permissions:

You may revoke any permission at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security on your device. Revoking camera or microphone access will prevent recording. Revoking location access will disable GPS and compass features, but video recording will still function.
9. On-Device Processing
All video filtering (Noir, Color Invert, Thermal), object tracking, and analysis run entirely on your device. No video, audio, or image data is sent to any remote server for processing.
10. Children's Privacy
OvniVision is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can address the situation. Because the App does not collect personal data, there is no practical risk of such collection; however, parental guidance is recommended for younger users.
11. Your Rights
Because OvniVision does not transmit data externally, you retain complete control over all data the App creates:
- Access: All data is on your device and accessible via iOS Files or by using the App.
- Deletion: Delete individual recordings within the App to permanently remove their video and metadata.
- Full removal: Uninstall the App to remove all associated data from your device.
If you reside in a jurisdiction with specific data rights (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), note that because no personal data is collected or transmitted, most obligations under those frameworks are satisfied by the App's local-only design.
12. Data Security
All data remains within the iOS app sandbox and is subject to Apple's built-in device security (encryption at rest when the device is locked, sandboxed file access). We do not operate servers, databases, or infrastructure that could be breached to expose your data.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App's functionality or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
